Sudan’s hunger crisis continues to intensify as conflict disrupts agricultural production, supply routes, and market systems across the country. The price of basic goods has reached record highs, putting everyday food items far beyond the reach of ordinary families. Many farmers have been unable to plant or harvest crops due to insecurity, and the roads that once carried food between regions are now too dangerous to travel. As a result, millions are facing severe food shortages, with children and vulnerable populations at the highest risk of malnutrition. Humanitarian organizations warn that without immediate support, some areas could soon face famine-like conditions. Aid groups are working to expand emergency food distributions, but insecurity and logistical barriers continue to make large-scale operations extremely difficult. The crisis highlights the urgent need for sustained international attention, funding, and coordinated relief efforts.
