Crisis Briefing
Gaza Needs Transparent, Direct Aid Now
The humanitarian situation in Gaza remains catastrophic. Months of bombardment, displacement, and restrictions on aid have left families without food, clean water, medical supplies, or safe shelter. Homes, hospitals, schools, and essential services have been destroyed, leaving millions of civilians at risk, half of them children.
More than 3.3 million Palestinians across Gaza and the West Bank now require humanitarian assistance.
In Gaza alone:
- Over two million people lack consistent access to food, water, and medical care.
- Widespread displacement has forced families into overcrowded shelters or makeshift tents.
- Attacks on healthcare facilities have left only a fraction of hospitals partially functional.
- Famine-like conditions persist, with nearly all households skipping meals, many going entire days without food.
- Children face acute malnutrition, trauma, and the loss of access to education, safety, and family support.
Humanitarian organizations continue to face severe restrictions in delivering aid at the scale required. Fuel shortages, access limitations, and ongoing hostilities make it nearly impossible to operate safely or effectively.
